Professional Fascia & Soffit Installment

Fascia & Soffit — The Unsung Heroes of Your Roofline

Fascia and soffit are the components that close in and protect your roofline — and when they fail, water and pests find their way into your attic and wall cavities. SwingCoast installs professional fascia and soffit systems across Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.

What Is Fascia?

Fascia is the vertical board that runs along the roofline at the eave, forming the face of the overhang. It’s what your gutters attach to. Fascia protects the ends of roof rafters from moisture exposure and gives the roofline a finished appearance. When fascia rots — typically from gutter overflow or poor ventilation — it compromises gutter attachment and allows water to wick into the rafter ends.

What Is Soffit?

Soffit is the horizontal surface that closes in the underside of your roof overhang, running from the fascia back to the exterior wall. Vented soffit allows outside air to flow into the attic space, working in combination with ridge vents to keep attic temperatures regulated and moisture expelled. Inadequate soffit ventilation is a leading cause of premature shingle failure, ice dams, and attic mold.

Materials We Install

Aluminum fascia and soffit — the most common replacement material. Durable, maintenance-free, available in dozens of colors. Wraps over existing wood fascia in many cases for a clean, efficient installation. Vinyl soffit — cost-effective, widely available, suitable for most residential applications. Wood fascia — used for custom or historic applications where wood is required by design or HOA guidelines.
