My lot is steep. Does that change what you can do?
It changes how we do it rather than whether we can. Steep and stepped roofs need more staging, more fall protection, and more care getting material up and debris down, and access from the driveway is sometimes the limiting factor rather than the roof itself. We assess access during the inspection and tell you then if anything about the site affects the scope or the schedule, rather than discovering it on the morning of a tear-off.
Why does one side of my roof look so much worse than the other?
Because on a house like yours they are effectively different roofs. Orientation determines sun exposure, and a south or west-facing plane loses granules and dries out years ahead of one that sits shaded. Prevailing wind hits one elevation and skips another. Shaded planes hold moisture longer and can grow algae or moss while the opposite side stays clean. None of that is a defect. It does mean a roof can legitimately need work on one section while the rest is still sound.
My house has sections that were added at different times. Can they all be done together?
Usually yes, and there is a real argument for doing so. Sections added years apart often carry different shingles, different flashing details, and different amounts of remaining life, and the junctions between them are the most likely leak points on the house. Replacing everything at once puts the whole roof on one clock and lets us detail those transitions properly instead of tying new work into old.
